Baby Boomers and Seniors Need to Supplement Fixed Incomes

It is no secret that many baby boomers and seniors need to supplement fixed incomes in today’s high priced living environment.

Big brother has it made and is too busy getting re-elected to bother with us. Their overly generous pensions should be more than sufficient to make certain they will not need to supplement their incomes.

Sorry to have strayed from my subject, but sometimes I get as frustrated with Big Bro as some of you. Don’t get me wrong, I respect them and their positions; and even envy the salaries and pensions they have voted for themselves.

It is unfortunate that boomers and seniors can’t vote additional monies for themselves, isn’t it? What can we, as citizens, do to help?

The internet is the most likely vehicle to offer a solution. Yes, there hundreds, perhaps several thousands of ways touted on the internet to make money. Most of my purchases of these money making deals turned out to make money for the originator, not the person trying to get ahead.

There must be some programs that are for real, like Univera’s relationship (MLM) marketing program that can produce a few hundred dollars or lots more every month.

Boomers are in a better position to start a home based business than seniors due to growing up in the computer age. Too many seniors shy away from that “new fangled thing”; however, there are many people on the net who could help enlighten seniors who need a few more dollars every month.

Who among the web gurus are willing to bring forth programs that really can help this group make an additional $500-1,000 per month? This income would need to be residual in nature, spotty income isn’t good enough, and it needs to be sure enough to give financial peace.

Many are unable to afford a computer. What could we do to get computers in their hands? We could:

Get grant money to assist seniors in building their business from government and other large charities, like the ones run for Bill Gates and Warren Buffet, computer manufactures, etc.

Make computers available to seniors, in their home or at care homes, senior centers, recreation rooms in senior housing, etc.

Seniors and boomers come from an era where they need to earn money, not accept charity. We need to make computers available so they can work to earn.

There are many people on the internet who could write for grants to handle these programs and there are many people and organizations capable of assisting people to become acquainted with the internet.

Service clubs, AARP and other non profit organizations could make this possible, local participation would be needed to distribute computers and to set up volunteer groups to assist seniors with computer problems.

Do I hear anyone saying that something needs to be done about addressing this income problem?

Am I alone in wanting to get some affirmative action before it is too late?

Speak up! Baby boomers and seniors need the internet to give them a start.
